Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a premier medical institute of India acknowledged as a centre of excellence for education and research. AFMCprovides training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical and nursing students with assured career prospects in the defence services.
The college offers two UG courses - MBBS and B.Sc. nursing. As PG courses, the college offers various specializations with MD and MD/MS degrees, along with M.Sc. degree in Anatomy and Master’s degree in Hospital Administration. Other than the UG and PG courses, the college also offers PG Diploma courses as well as a number of Super speciality courses.
Application procedure for the UG courses starts in the month of April. For Super speciality and Postgraduate courses, applications are invited in the month of July and September respectively. For admission to these courses, the candidate must fill upAFMC Application Formwhich is available for download at the Institute’s website.
- A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India
- The candidate must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.
- Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence.
Note:TheAFMCMBBS Cut offwill be announced after the declaration of NEET-UG Cut off. The AFMC Cut off will be displayed on the university website aftera few days of completion of the NEET written test.

AFMCPune MBBS and B.Sc. Nursing Admission2022
The college offers Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) degrees at the UG course level. MBBS course is offered for a duration of five years and the B.Sc. course is offered for a period of four years.
Admission to the MBBS course is offered through NEET-UG and the candidates eligible for the B.Sc. course need to sit for an AFMC Entrance Examconducted by the college. The shortlisted candidates are then called up for the Interview rounds.

- Selected candidates in the B.Sc. Nursing course will be required to execute a bond of agreement to serve in the Military Nursing Service for a minimum period of 5 years.
- Male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme must submit a Certificate of completion of a course of 6- 9 months duration approved by INC in lieu of midwifery.

For MBBS course:

For B.Sc. Nursing course:
- Candidates need to fill in the AFMC Application Form in order to sit for the AFMC entrance test.

AFMCPune PGAdmission2022
AFMC offers four different PG degrees for the graduates in Medical discipline. The MD degree is offered with 16 different specializations and the 5-year MS/MD degree is offered with 3 different specialization subjects. The MD course is offered for a duration of 3 years while the M.Sc. and MHA degree is offered for a duration of two years.
Admission to all these courses are through NEET-PGand the application process starts in the month of September.
